Starving

Another one of my weird poems. I wrote this one without thinking about structure or anything. This morning I was going to get my fruit but found out that it all spoiled in a matter of a few day, mine was the only one that went bad, which was weird. So I made a story of a narrator based on that. I hope you enjoy it, I know its rusty! lol

No matter how much I go,

I never have enough to eat.

I keep coming back and back,

and sometimes nothing gets taken.

Spoiled after trials of uncertainty, will I like it?

Will it make me full?

But I still keep coming back, hungry for more and more.

But still,

I never have enough to eat.

There is the bitter, there is the sweet,

the savory breast- Mmmm

or the salty meat.

Here come the apricots

and here comes the peaches,

Don’t forget the cream,

to top it off too.

But food is more than that,

there are words through the mouth,

a lovely conversation and sometimes compliments.

But no matter how I go,

I never have enough to eat.

At times I don’t like the first course.

Its either salad or chips and dip.

Too cold for my liking,

I’d rather eat zip.

But then comes the entree,

sadly still cold.

Let me wait for dessert,

might as well spoil the appetite.

A whole strawberry tart, topped with a drizzle.

But.

But then it’s gone, spoiled after trails of uncertainty

No matter how much I go,

No matter how much I try,

I never have enough to eat.
