Hey ya’ll! Can you believe it’s December! It still feels like November to me! It’s almost the start of the new year and you know what that means…NEW MUSIC! CHANGE! and REFLECTION! But before we get all sappy for this month, let’s take a look at this week’s Songs Of The Week! (I know it’s Saturday! I’m counting this as a Monday)
Okay okay, I really stalled this post because posting about my own music is pretty vulnerable. Some days I like my music and other times I really don’t. But I have to post about it sometime. And who knows! I have the choice to delete this if I wanted to :o. Anyway, I hope you enjoy 🙂
I really don’t know what this song is, but it was fun making it!
Give me a follow if you’d like 🙂
I have other songs like these…
Another assignment for the books…
THEY TELL ME NICE THINGS
There’s a club if you’d like
To jump off
I throw my head off
And I think
they like me
Inside there was the
Smile of tobacco
And a boy
But really, he’s just a boy with fingers
And a girl
Crying in my glass
Still tastes pretty
I pulled off my lips
And I found myself attractive
And the tobacco was still
Smiling in the corner
And I danced around jokes
My friends walked through
Puddles of fire
While I dig up some lode
Resigning my eardrums for the night
And we breezed
And told me nice things
Hey guys, thought I was gonna leave? Well, you thought wrong. I’ve been taking a break ever since my birthday, now I’m back…(for now before I leave again). Hey, it’s a one-woman show here! I got to make time and there’s only so much. What was I supposed to talk about again? Oh yeah, music!
Here’s is some good stuff I’ve been listening to :)…
Yes yes yes, I know I just posted about a playlist. Well too bad! I make so many because my mood changes with thinks. My obsessions file through and I find new ones, that doesn’t mean the old ones are ever forgotten. It’s always a suprise to hear a song you loved many moons ago. I hope you enjoy this playlist. This represents a lot that is leading up for tomorrow ❤ Continue reading “-take me for example- a playlist”
(title inspired by the Kate Bush song)
For the second time I asked
why the clouds were late
I grew rosemary on my
temples and collected
tines in the morning
wax of secrets and diaries of
the second time, a second time
the world was made with
paper and construction blue
I love it when
my stomach jokes
and when my elbow drove me to the lake
with a door, and I
remembered the last time my liver was
handed, crowned with
jewels and baskets of
oranges, the ones picked
last night rolled back twice
on some moss’s jealousy
I wonder why
Why the second time
the clouds didn’t call today
Check out these gems 😉
I guess it’s time for a new playlist? Yes, it is.
I’ll let you know that this one is a bit wack. I meant to share it like a month ago but I never got around to it. Also, new songs kept popping up on my Spotify and I kept adding them to the playlist. Some are old favorites and some Continue reading “-brindo este amor- a playlist”
Hi, here is one of many new poems that I’ve written. Writing poetry has been very helpful lately. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have this outlet to write.
Well I hope you enjoy it, don’t worry, you don’t have to understand it. Just enjoy 🙂
LEFTOVERS FOR ORANGE
Hey buckos, back again with new Songs Of The Week. I’ve heard some pretty good songs and I can’t wait to share them with you. So please enjoy, and lemme know if you have any recommendations.
Here is my lame attempt of making a mood/inspiration board, I mean who really makes them anyway right? Am I running out of ideas? No i’m not :). Anyway I just thought it would be fun to do this.
Well this is what goes on in my head for most of the time and it’s not even all of it. 🙂
Hi everyone, I’ve collected some poems but I strayed away from posting them. The class I’m taking has forced me ( in a good way) to write poems/lines/phrases again. I’m happy that I’m writing again, and I’ve noticed that my word choices and the poems themselves have changed. I’ll try to post the ones I do for class, but here is one that I wrote outside of it. I might use this is workshop, but I don’t know. I try not to devalue my poetry and I treat it as separate from myself. I hope you enjoy this short one.
Hello my friends. Its been a busy past two weeks, full of school and work that I almost have no energy to do much! Yes, that is the ugly truth. For a bit I forgot about the blog. If I were to do all the things I wanted to do, I wouldn’t have a moments rest to do absolutely nothing. So…I resorted to listening to really slow and chill music. Music that makes me happy and calm in the chaos I feel in my mind. So here are some of the songs I’ve been listening too. Hope you enjoy.
So just spontaneously I decided to make and art account. I also wanted to share my art with you which I believe I’ve never done. I’ve shared thoughts, opinions, pictures, and poetry but never physical art. I hold art-my art- to be very special and personal to me. Continue reading “My Art + Art Account”
I wrote this a few days ago, I’m already on my second day of classes 🙂
So the summer is coming to an end. I start classes this Wednesday and I feel weird about it. I feel almost indifferent. Not that I hate it, I just feel like it’s something I have to do, like breathing or making sure to eat. Continue reading “happiness is a- an update”
The school season is about to start, summer is turning into fall. People will start wearing layers, and rain boots. But don’t worry SONGBIRD will still be up and running with content. Today is the beloved Songs Of The Week!! Let’s Get Started!
If you know me, you know that I love lush. I LOVE LUSH. I love it so much that I converted to only using Lush products in the bath/shower. The last time I went al out and bought stuff there has been a few months, so I make sure that I salvage and use what I need. This haul has some new stuff while others are my all time favorites.
A new playlist for the end of the summer…
Hey everyone, the summer is coming to a close so it’s time to transition to the fall season! Here are some songs I’ve been listening to for the last part of the summer. The title was inspired by a quote from the movie “The Crow”- some songs in here are from Continue reading “-it cant rain all the time- a playlist”
Here is a little evaluation time. I remembered that I has some goals for the summer and some I did and didn’t do. So, I decided to compile a list here and also in physical form in a journal. These lists won’t be far fetched, just some goals and fun things I want to do. I feel like everyone should keep a list like this; so on a boring old day you might have something to do. Also, we’re at a half point in the year, I have to get some things done while I can.
Now, some of these things may cost money and others won’t. It really depends on the situation and task at hand. Now, let’s get to the list.
