Baby Bro Turning 17 Years Old, Last of Gratitude Posts…
Hey guys, sorry for not keeping up with the gratitude. I know I couldn’t make posts but every day that I missed I did think about what I was grateful for. Today is a special day, and is actually one of my favorite holidays- Thanksgiving!
“I am grateful for being able to come home and spend time with my family”…
Hello! I decided to do something different! I just wanted to show you some of the products I got from Lush and what my take is on some of the products.
I’ve been obsessed with Lush, and personally, I think it has to do with the fact that I’ve been interested in ethical skin care. Now, this isn’t a routine that I do all the time, but it is a simple plan ole routine that I do when I want to relax. It is literally 3 steps and nothing afterward! So I hope you enjoy this post! I can’t wait to go to Lush again to stock up on my bath bombs.
When I went to lush I got four things:
“I am grateful for caffeine and a black cropped sweater I have”
I guess it really is true when they say caffeine is a drug, they say that right? Because my mood and senses really lifted at the sip of a coffee. I’m like Continue reading “Gratitude – Day 16”
When the days go as fast as they do you end up forgetting a lot of things you needed to do. For example day 14 of gratitude. Honestly, I’m sort of in a rut of what to be grateful for. I wouldn’t say I’m ungrateful, I just feel that the things I think of are so simple and trivial. But it’s true. I’m grateful for a lot of simple things. Finding the time to thank something simple as leftover pizza, is just the right step towards gratitude.Continue reading “Gratitude -Day 14 and 15”
“I am grateful that my last class was canceled”Continue reading “Gratitude – Day 13”
Another double post! Enjoy!
“I am grateful for the study times with RJ”
Sometimes getting out of the house is just what I need. It’s even better to have RJ to keep me company. Staying stuck in the house really does take a toll. So go outside, get some fresh air.
” I am grateful for writing poetry”
I’m not the best poetry, but we all can’t be. I’m learning every day new ways to improve my writing. Sometimes I have really bad days or the first draft is terrible. Nothing is perfect the first time. Practice leads to improvement.
Soooo this weekend has been really great! Sorry, I didn’t post daily but you’ll find out why!
“I am grateful for Sophie!”
This gratitude log is for Friday and Saturday! My best friend came to Austin to visit me for my birthday! I know Tuesday last week was my birthday, but it wasn’t until this weekend that I could actually celebrate it to the fullest!
It was so fun and exciting to see her again! We missed each other so much and it’s always so amazing having her here!
I really needed this to brighten my week! College has been so stressful and Sophie definitely made everything better! I can’t wait to see her again this upcoming break!
I hope you find this advice in the best light. Some of it is lifestyle-based and other is just general stuff. My birthday was a few days ago and really want to look back, or rather look at the now. I think I’ve learned a lot of things in my life and I think I’ve grown in my life. I’ve missed out on so much in my “past life” but where I am right now is so much better than before. So here is a list of what I’ve learned in 21 years.
Let’s do two birds with one stone!
“I am grateful for today, my Birthday!”
I just want to keep this post nice and short. I know this might be a little late but I wanted to make this post.
Although my birthday was filled with school and exams – it was also filled with people that I love and that care about me.
Don’t even waste your time feeling down or stressing about something in the past or to come. The future is ahead and there are moments to be enjoyed. 💖
I had such a great and beautiful 21st Birthday!
I love everyone and I hope you all have a wonderful night!
“I am grateful for having a creative outlet such as my blog”
I forget that some people don’t have the change to be creative. Usually, it’s because they can’t make time for it or they don’t know where to start. There are some very talented and creative people in my life that have Continue reading “Gratitude – Day 4”
Another form of creativity I love is journaling. I don’t do it every day but I try to stay consistent every month. I decided I could give Continue reading “What’s In My Journal? – pt. one”
“I am very grateful for sleep”
Although I don’t get enough of it, sleep is very important to me. I try to sleep in as much as I can during the weekend and for the past Continue reading “Gratitude – Day 3”
I decided to challenge myself 30 days of Gratitude…
November is the month of Gratitude and many other holidays and events that are important in my life. I decided that I should probably start something new and fresh for the blog that is also good for my self-worth and growth. I’ve been feeling down a lot and filled with anxiety. I believe this stems from the overload of stress from college and reading and constant assignments left to right. I need to step back and reevaluate myself. I don’t like this stress, I want it to go away. I thought that by starting up a daily gratitude post for the month of November would be a great way to start. I have never done this before but I have kept a gratitude journal once, I never finished it.
November was the first day of Gratitude but I was not able to write things down. So for today, you get two doses of gratitude!
Gratitude November 1st:
“I am grateful for my boyfriend”
November 1st is his birthday! Happy Birthday!
He is one of my best friends and one of few people who really know me. He cares for me and makes me laugh. He reminds me to Continue reading “National Gratitude Month”
Hi! Here are some fall favorites that I’ve been really into!
Some links and descriptions below! Video link Below!!!
I actually have a hard time being productive when it comes to certain things. Writing this post itself is productive yet I’m not reading the book for class. Some of these tips might already be implied in daily like, but it doesn’t hurt to be reminded. Continue reading “Productivity Tips”

Let’s talk about my taste in music. How it’s the way it is, why I have it, and what I think about it…
I was in a living room, headphones in playing My Bloody Valentine’s Sometimes. Listening to this song, especially a song like this, it makes my heart/chest hurt, which is sort of a thing for me when a song really hits me. Being a music lover, I can tell if I will like or dislike a song, and sometimes if it is life-changing for me. Sometimes my taste ranges from
A short post where I ramble about writing…
I have come to the realization that I like to write about food. A lot.
Through my poetry, I almost always have something to say that involves food. It happens through a metaphor or a imagery that I come up from the start or serves as the centerpiece of my poetry.
There is something about food that I love. Doesn’t food make people happy? It can be rewarding, it can be uniting, it can complete, it can serve. Food can do a lot of things in our life. I know for a fact that when I get out of a class or it’s the end of the day, I am so grateful to finally be able to eat. It can either be with a friend or by myself, food is something that refreshes and fulfills an empty stomach.
I usually write about fruit. It’s easier to create a metaphor for the type of fruit I’m using. Since high school, I’ve always had an obsession with fruit. I would eat apples, strawberries, and bananas almost every day to maintain my sweet tooth. My best friend even decided to call me Babyfruit because of how much I would eat them.
Now that I think about it-I don’t have a full explanation why I use fruit or food in my poetry. It is one of the few things that has attached to my writing. I don’t give myself much credit because there is so much to improve on my writing. Writing is a process and always needs revision. Revision is the hardest for me, besides starting a poem.
I’ve been trying to observe my writing patterns and my stress has been prohibiting my creativity and inspiration. I’m in a stump where I have no idea what to write about. I still have not written a short story!
But, writing takes time! I have much to learn.
